The remarks and criticisms of the expertise architects in the city would clearly state the future of these “innovative and eye spotting” condos.

  • The architects and the designers in the city are too lethargic. When these buildings are compared to that of bricks and glass, the co-ordinated work of a large team including a mason, the window guy, architect, builders and designers would be clearly depicted and the buildings would not suffer the so-called “after-effects”.
  • Unlike traditional window types, these cannot suffer extreme weather conditions and it would be like building an enclosure of glass cards, which may fall shattered, any time. The expectancy level of such mishappenings has grown to a greater level, than we can imagine to be. 
  • It is quite disturbing that the developers are interested to earn higher amounts of profit with less work policy; they are least worried about the condition of the windows after 10 or 15 years from now.
  • The developers are slowly acknowledging the ill-effects of condo windows; but are they capable of replacing the existing window structures? For one thing, it is impossible to keep city roads blocked for hours and to keep the people frustrated and worried about the condition of these windows. The architects expect that the lifespan of condos would extend up to 10 to 15 years, considering the current scenario.

  • Plumbing mechanisms: The lines in the plumbing systems, possesses a lifespan of about 50 to 70 years; but considering the replacement costs, it would go beyond $10,000 per unit.
  • Boiler systems: Although the boiler systems would go beyond 30 or 40 years, the current constructions are making them “cheaper and low-quality windows”. 
  • Elevators in the buildings: Elevators, too owns a lifespan, even though the 20 years replacement is a guaranteed period. 
  • Railings in the balcony: Few modifications in the raw materials used like less-corrosive aluminium, can last for another 30 to 40 years.
